Dalton McGuinty stood in front of a screen of digital water in a nondescript room in the bowels of the sterile Macdonald Block as he announced his plan to protect 225,000 square kilometres of boreal forest in the far north.
While aides had tried hard to bring the great Ontario wilderness into Queen's Park, somehow it seemed farther off than ever.
