DID YOU KNOW...

Naturally-occurring ecosystem services provided by the Boreal, such as carbon storage and water filtration, are worth 2.5 times more than the value of extracting resources such as minerals and timber

Research & Reports

The Canadian Boreal Initiative (CBI) produces science and policy research that enhances understanding of how best to safeguard the balance of nature for all time in Canada's Boreal Forest. Since its inception in 2003, CBI has published research reports and worked in collaboration with partners to create and collect Boreal-specific data.
